- Membership
- Membership to Accommodation Line is open to any individual over the age of 18 years and any corporation.
- By checking the box to become a Accommodation Line Member you agree to be bound by these Membership Terms and Conditions.
- Accommodation Line reserves the right to reject any application for Membership.
- Membership commences upon acceptance of the Membership application by Accommodation Line.
- Membership in Accommodation Line is not transferable.
- Accommodation Line reserves the right to terminate any Member from further participation in Accommodation Line Membership Program and revoke all Member Dollars accrued by the Member at any time without notice.
- Members may leave the Accommodation Line Membership Program at any time by submitting written notification, at which point any outstanding Member Dollars will be forfeited. Membership will terminate automatically upon the death of the Member. Member Dollars earned but not redeemed at the time of death, will be automatically forfeited.
- Earning and Redeeming Member Dollars
- Definitions:
"Confirmed Booking" means a hotel booking completed via the Accommodation Line website (not including a Last Minute Booking) paid in full and confirmed with a booking voucher issued. "Consumed Booking" refers to a Confirmed Booking once the hotel stay has been completed. "Last Minute Booking" means any hotel booking made and confirmed through the Accommodation Line Website's Last Minute section, any booking made through the RatesToGo website or any booking made within 28 days of your arrival date
- Member Dollars are the base units of measurement in the program. Currently, the value of 1 (ONE) Member Dollar = 1 (ONE) US Dollar.
- All Members shall have their own personal Member Account to which all the Member Dollars earned will be credited subject to clause A.6 above. Member Dollars may not be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
- Each time a Confirmed Booking is completed the amount of Member Dollars the Member has earned for that booking will appear in the Member’s "Pending Account Balance". The Pending Account Balance provides the total estimated amount of Member Dollars the Member has earned. The Member Dollar amount for each booking is finalised 30 days after the booking has become a Consumed Booking (30 days after the check-out date of that booking). At this time the amount is transferred into the Current Account Balance and can be redeemed.
- Member Dollars may be used as soon as they have been credited to Member's "Current Account Balance". The Member can start using their Member Dollars to pay for all or part of their future hotel bookings with Accommodation Line as soon as they have accumulated a minimum of 1 (ONE) Member Dollar in their Current Account Balance.
- When making a booking, if your Current Account Balance exceeds 1 (ONE) Member Dollar, you will be asked if you want to use all your Member Dollars to pay for part or all of the booking. If you choose to use your Member Dollars, the system will convert your Member Dollars into the currency used in your booking, using the daily US dollar exchange rate (as designated by Accommodation Line) and subtract that amount from the total value* of your booking. If you choose not to use your Member Dollars, they will be rolled over.
*Important Note - if making a Last Minute Booking (where you pay the deposit to us and the balance at the hotel), Member Dollars can only be used for the deposit payable to us.
- Member Dollars are deducted from the Member's Current Account Balance immediately after the reservation is confirmed.
- If you cancel a booking made using Member Dollars, the Member Dollars used for the booking will be reaccredited to your Member Account with their original expiration date. Member Dollars cannot be used to pay or offset the cancellation fee.
- All bookings, cancellations and amendments are governed by the Accommodation Line Booking Terms and Conditions.
- You will receive Member Dollars calculated based on the actual payment you make for a booking. You do not earn Member Dollars on the amount paid in Member Dollars, eg,
Total Booking $100 Paid with Cash $80 Paid with Member Dollars $20
Member Dollars Earned $80 x 4% = $3.2
Levels of Membership - Platinum, Gold and Silver
- Platinum Club Membership: A Member will become a Platinum Club Member if they have signed up for membership and have completed 6 or more Confirmed Bookings within the last 2 years.
Platinum Club Members will earn Member Dollars on subsequent Confirmed Bookings at a rate of 6% of the total value of the booking.
Platinum Club Members will earn Member Dollars on all Last Minute Bookings at a rate of 2% of the total value of the booking.
- Gold Club Membership: A Member will become a Gold Club Member if they have signed up for membership and have completed 2 or more Confirmed Bookings within the last 2 years.
Gold Club Members will earn Member Dollars on subsequent Confirmed Bookings at a rate of 5% of the total value of the booking.
Gold Club Members will earn Member Dollars on all Last Minute Bookings at a rate of 2% of the total value of the booking.
- Silver Club Membership: A Member will become a Silver Club Member when they have signed up for membership and their application has been accepted and confirmed by Accommodation Line.
Silver Club Members will earn Member Dollars on subsequent Confirmed Bookings at a rate of 4% of the total value of the booking.
Silver Club Members will earn Member Dollars on all Last Minute Bookings at a rate of 2% of the total value of the booking.
- Your membership level will only be increased 30 days after the booking check out date.
- Earning Member Dollars by Referring Friends:
Platinum Club, Gold Club and Silver Club members may earn extra Member Dollars when friends referred by the Member become Accommodation Line Members and make a Confirmed Bookings.
If a friend that your refer to Accommodation Line makes a Confirmed Booking immediately after your refer them to Accommodation Line through our "Refer a Friend" program (i.e. they click straight through and complete a Confirmed Booking straight away) you will earn 3 Member Dollars.
For every other Confirmed Booking made by a person referred by you for a period of ONE year you will earn 2 Member Dollars
For every subsequent Last Minute Booking made by a person referred by you, for a period of ONE year you will earn 1 Member Dollar.
- HotelClub will periodically offer promotions which allocate Member Dollars to existing and new members. The Member Dollars derived from HotelClub promotions will expire according to the terms of each individual promotion, with a maximum period being twelve (12) months from the time of issue of the Member Dollars. This will not affect Member Dollars earned via confirmed bookings, Birthday Bonuses or Referring Friends.
If a Member Account is inactive for the duration of 24 months, the accrued Member Dollars will expire. Expired Member Dollars cannot be used. A Member Account is considered inactive if no booking is made through the Member Account during that period. In the event where a member submits a booking request and the booking is not confirmed due to circumstances not within the control of the member (eg. no availability), the account will not be deemed inactive.
The 24 month period starts from the check out date of the Member's confirmed hotel booking. Example - You have 2 bookings with check out date of August 23 and November 12. The 24 month period starts from November 12 + 30 days. If you then make a booking which has a check out date of December 4, the 24 month period starts again, from December 4 + 30 days.
In the event where a member submits a booking request and the booking is not confirmed due to circumstances not within the control of the member, the 24 month period starts from date of submission of that booking request.
- The "Member Birthday Bonus" consists of Member Dollars awarded to each Accommodation Line Member, once every calendar year, 15 days before the member's birthday. Member Birthday is stated by the member in the Member account under "My Profile" section. The "Member Birthday Bonus" is valid for use by the member within 30 days from the date of issue. If the "Member Birthday Bonus" is not used within 30 days from the date of issue, it will automatically expire and be removed from the Member Account.
If a member makes a hotel booking within 30 days of issue of the "Member Birthday Bonus" and did not elect to use the "Member Birthday Bonus" for payment, the member will be able to retain the "Member Birthday Bonus" within the Current Account Balance once the booking is confirmed.
- "Member Birthday Bonus" will only be issued to a Accommodation Line member if:
- The member has entered his or her birth date in the "My Profile" section in the Member Account
- The member has been a Accommodation Line member for a minimum of 3 months
- General Conditions
- Accommodation Line may change the Member program rules or program benefits from time to time with or without prior notice. These changes may affect the value of Member Dollars already accumulated.
- Accommodation Line also reserves the right to terminate the program, or any part thereof, in any jurisdiction, at any time with or without notice, even though such termination may affect the right to accumulate Member Dollars or redeem Member Dollars. Accommodation Line is not liable to Members in any way for any value or benefits Members may lose as a result of any changes made to the program.
- It is the responsibility of Members to check the website regularly for any changes to the Terms and Conditions of Accommodation Line Membership Program. Continued use of the program by the Member will be deemed as acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions.
- It is the responsibility of Members to keep their mailing address and contact details up to date. Accommodation Line will not be held responsible for any delay, misdirected or lost mail.
- Except as provided in any law which cannot lawfully be excluded or modified by agreement, Accommodation Line does not accept any liability whatsoever, including for negligent acts and omissions, with respect to the breach of any of these Membership Terms and Conditions or any term implied by law (including statute), by any person; or for any death or injury or consequential loss or damage arising from the supply or redemption of Accommodation Line Member Dollars or any other Member benefits.
- These Membership Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. By becoming a Accommodation Line Member you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of News South Wales, Australia.
